Side Project Development

I spent some time tonight working on another web project – I’m not quite ready to publish it yet though. I want to get the bones of the site set up and ready for posting before I share it with the world.

I’ve been having a hard time getting motivated to work on a project each night lately; sometimes it can be a real struggle when I have limited time to myself in the day/evening and have to decide how to spend it. Tonight I went to Zumba and then came home to eat dinner and put the kiddos to bed – what I really wanted to do was read a book I’ve got checked out from the library that expires in a few days, but I worked on my website instead – driven by this blog. It was interesting (I wouldn’t say fun) but I would have enjoyed the book more.

I can sense this project will be difficult during the summer – the days are longer, and there are more fun things to do that don’t involve making anything. However I’m almost halfway done here so maybe its just a middle-age slump.

  1. Reading books can be very creative . . . maybe you could report on the blog some titles or authors.
If a book is calling, my advice is to answer the call . . . that might stir up creativity in the long run.
